Snapshot of Project: Wiki to Introduce High School Teachers to Wikis and 21st Century Skills
Video showing reflections of a small group of teachers tasked with defining 21st Century Skills
Assumptions:
Team members will share equal responsibility in creating the final project.
Team members will bring their individual strengths to the team and help other team members grow in areas in which they are weak.
There will be a certain amount of anxiety and feeling of being rushed and hope to become more comfortable with what is available on the internet so that I can take back to teachers.
Meet both virtually and F2F
We will use our strengths in the completion of the project
We will reinforce the use of learning tools for each other.
We will share the leadership for our group so that it is not just Randy’s project
We will focus on what happens after we publish, not just the project we publish
We will admit when we need help and commit to the work so that we can increase our knowledge
Don’t just check this off our lists but realize that this can be transformational
Learning goals:
To really get a grasp on the future of education and how technology will and should be used in classrooms.
To design a useful project that has meaning and value for all team members
Increase use of resources that are available to us through technology.
Give people practical, easy to implement tools.
Use PLP to connect learning to other district initiatives.
We will create an experience that can be duplicated and shared with our teachers
